B.A. English, University of New Haven 2013
I attended the University of New Haven as an undergraduate student and received my B.A. in English in 2013. I always felt that the University of New Haven fostered such a warm and positive learning environment, and I wanted to be a part of that once I finished my graduate program and began searching for teaching jobs.
Writing is a very personal activity, so I focus a lot of my teaching energy on making students comfortable with sharing their work and ideas. Instead of traditional lecturing, my classes consist of student-centered discussions, group projects, and short, focused lessons on writing topics that address the needs of my students and their current assignments.
