"Something to be proud of"
Some of the most cited – and most influential – research produced at the University of New Haven is the result of its Cyber Forensics Research and Education Group, which, in just the two years since it was founded, has quickly risen to become one of the top such research labs in the world.
The group, comprising students and faculty, has been published extensively in such publications and conferences as the Journal of Digital Investigation, the Digital Forensic Research Workshop, and the International Conference of Availability, Reliability, and Security (ARES). The research lab also hosted the National Conference on Digital Forensics.
The lab was the first to create an open-source tool drone, the DJI Drone, which is already being used by outside entities. The Artifact Genome Project, launched by the group this summer, is a centralized hub meant to connect forensics specialists around the globe so that they can share digital information and learn from one another.

Analytics, Sustainability, Optimization and Simulation Lab
ASOS is the abbreviation of the research lab founded by Dr. Gokhan Egilmez. The word ASOS was inspired by the famous city, Assos, where Aristotle started the first Academy, "Academy of Assos", which is currently located in the city of Çanakkale, Turkey. In fact, each letter represents the broad research area that we work on, namely: A: Analytics, S: Sustainability, O: Optimization, and S: Simulation.Learn More

SARI (Security & ARtificial Intelligence) Research Lab
SARI (Security & ARtificial Intelligence) research lab is the ultimate space for students and professors to work on research projects together! The lab aims at fostering students’ interest and participation in research projects.
Our research objectives are centered around the following thrusts:
- Modeling more resilient IoT systems, cloud and wireless sensor technology toward cyber-attacks using cryptography, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data analytics.
- Reverse engineering, malware analysis, and cyber forensics.
- AI security and trustworthiness, and AI applications in cybersecurity.
We believe in actively engaging students and pursuing research that encourage diversity and inclusion. “We lead the lab and we set the lab culture”.
SARI is led by Dr. Khare, Dr. Manna, and Dr. Nassar. For more information, visit our website through the link below.Learn More
