Your Home Away From Home

You don’t have to live on campus to immerse yourself in the complete University of New Haven experience. Commuter students are highly encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities to get connected to the campus.

Commuters and Off-Campus Students: Make the Most of Your Time as a Charger

Even if you don’t live in one of our residence halls, there is so much for you to do outside of the classroom and in the surrounding communities that the University of New Haven will quickly become your second home. The Undergraduate Student Government Association and Graduate Student Council are available to advocate for you and to enrich your experience as a student. There is something for everyone. Take advantage of these co-curricular learning opportunities, and make sure you get the most out of your educational experience.

Meal Plans

Commuter students are encouraged to get involved and help lead the more than 170 student organizations and to attend the many featured speakers, cultural programs, and athletic events that take place on campus. Commuter students can also sign up for a meal plan.
