About Christina

In addition to teaching communication classes Dr. SanInocenio serves as a communications consultant for various non-profit organizations in the rare disease space. Her experience in rare diseases and non-profits began in 2008 when she founded the Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome Foundation (LGS Foundation) in order to help fill unmet needs for this rare form of epilepsy. Prior to the formation of the LGS Foundation, she worked as a coordinating producer and associate field producer for various entertainment television networks. Her research and academic interests are the culmination of her professional experiences in both the media and non-profit advocacy, specifically health communication, media effects and health behavior, and social support through social media.
