Welcome Week 2023

Sunday, August 27 - Monday, September 4, 2023

The Holistic Wellness team encourages students to attend the various holistic care activities on campus throughout Welcome Week. These events will familiarize students with campus resources and help them develop tools to encompass their holistic health and wellness journey. Learning about self-care practices can help students use these tools to navigate obstacles they may face in and outside the classroom. Self-care is a necessity!

Off campus trip registration will open on Charger Connection on Tuesday August 29 at 12pm (noon) for undergraduate students only. Trip seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

    6 p.m. Twas the Night Before Classes Craft Night Shake away any pre-first day jitters with a relaxing DIY night with your fellow Chargers! Come on down and decorate T-shirts/pillowcases, make bracelets, do sand art, decorate vases, and/or adopt a pet rock! While supplies last! Bixler/Gerber Quad

    12 p.m. Self-Care 101 Develop your “Self-Care Plan” - Join the Holistic Care Committee and CAPS to learn about campus resources, grab some motivational swag, create your self- care plan and design your own glitter jar! Celentano Quad
    6 p.m. RecSpo Come out to the rec center to learn more about our programs and offerings! You can interact with our club sport leaders, find out how to make an intramural team, learn more about our GroupX program & explore all areas of the rec. There will be fun games, food, and more!     5 p.m. Tuesday Night Live with Fraternity and Sorority Life Join our Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) organizations for a fun night of games and activities on the Quad, and learn more about the chapters on campus (open to all you do not have to be an FSL member to participate!) Join the Myatt Center, and the Multicultural Student Organization Community, for this year's Mosaic Reception where we kick off the year and celebrate all the fantastic multicultural communities here at the University of New Haven.
