About Taylor

Dr. Taylor M. Bigelow is the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Coordinator and an Assistant Professor of Counseling at the University of New Haven. Her research agenda stems from the intersection of biobehavioral influences on mental health. Dr. Bigelow’s areas of interest include the bi-directional mind-body relationship, epigenetics, substance use behavior, health promotion, wellness, and stress. She is passionate about interdisciplinary work with the aim of promoting counselor competence. Dr. Bigelow has experience providing individual and group counseling services to a range of clientele in numerous settings. Her breadth of experience working in community mental health agencies, college counseling centers, career services, the K-12 school system, and biobehavioral health settings informs her teaching and research.
