Student Says Economics Research Leads To A Better Personal Understanding Of The World
UNH has partnered with the Institute of Industrial Engineering (IIE) to offer Six
Sigma Green Belt Certification. This will be a three-day course from April 22 to 24.

The program will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 22
and 23, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, April 24, at UNH’s main campus in Buckman
Hall, room B307.
This course will provide an in-depth understanding of Six Sigma and show students
how to eliminate defects through fundamental process knowledge. Topics covered include
Six Sigma philosophy, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC), basic
statistics, statistical process control, process capability and root cause analysis.
On the last day of the course, participants will take the IIE Green Belt exam.
The cost is $695 for UNH students and $995 for alumni, faculty and staff. Engineering
students who passed Six Sigma Quality Planning (SYST4428 and EGRM6628) will be offered
a discount rate of $495. Registration is closed. (All students must be in good standing
and must have completed one undergraduate statistics course.)
