This Juried Student Exhibition allows an inside look at the impressive artistic development of the College’s talented student body and showcases the best current work created by students in all four of the College’s majors, including the first-year Foundation program.  The judges are the chairs of the four studio departments.

Sally Seaman, Dean of the College, notes some 80 works were selected for inclusion into the exhibition out of an entry pool of approximately 140 pieces.  Merit Award winners are chosen from the selected works.

Seaman comments, "It’s always an exceptional show.  Seeing the year to year progression of technical and creative skill spotlights the advanced training that students receive here at the College."

College President Scott Colley adds, "I am always impressed by the dedication and discipline of our students and this show truly exhibits their growing mastery."

The Juried Student Exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to see the College’s rigorous curriculum come to life.  The Chauncey Stillman Gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The majority of works in the show are for sale.

The College gratefully acknowledges the generous support of Leon and Bernadette Olivier, Outthink, Saybrook Point Inn/Fresh Salt, and Sennheiser Electronic Corporation for this exhibition.
