Summer Youth Academies Summer Series 2019

The University of New Haven invites local youth to participate in innovative and individualized summer programs.

We strive to provide students with high quality instruction and programming. An enthusiastic and dedicated staff will be on hand to provide an exciting and safe learning environment for each student. Enrollment is limited and applications will be accepted in the order they are received.

Program Details
  • University faculty run the academic portion of the programs
  • Academies are non-residential
  • Schedule is 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily
  • Lunch, all supplies, t-shirts, and certificates of completion are provided for all programs

*Some academies provide scholarship opportunities. Please see individual program descriptions for more information. GenCyber Agent Academy is free for all accepted participants.

Film and Theater Academy

Over the course of the summer, students will work independently and in groups on crafting stories about themselves and their communities. The storytelling continues as students collaborate to write, produce, shoot and edit short films to be screened on the final day of the program.
