Helena Cole, M.Ed., M.A.
Director, Center for Academic Success and Advising
Helena Cole graduated with an B.A. degree in History and Italian from Bryn Mawr College. She received her M.Ed in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland, and her M.A. in Humanities from Hood College. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Leadership in Academic Advising at Kansas State University. Helena started working at the University of New Haven as the Director of the Centers for Academic Success and Advising in January 2013.
Josh Carbajal, M.A.
Success Advisor
Josh (he/him/his) graduated with both a B.S. in Forensic Science and an M.A. in Community Psychology from the University of New Haven.
Lynn Derobertis, M.S.
Associate Director, Curriculum Development and Faculty Programming
Success Advisor
Lynn DeRobertis graduated with a B.S. degree in Nursing from Boston College and a M.S. in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University. Lynn has been a Student Success Advisor since 2000. Lynn supervises the Academic Peer Mentor program and focuses on sophomore student success. She also serves as the Advisor to Lamda Alpha Upsilon.
Ashley McDowell, M.S.
Success Advisor
Ashley graduated with a B.S. degree in Legal Studies and a M.S. degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven. Ashley joined University of New Haven's Center for Academic Success and Advising as a Success Advisor in December 2021. Ashley is currently working towards a PhD degree in Criminal Justice at the University of New Haven.
Aschlee Riendeau, M.Ed.
Associate Director
Aschlee (She/Her/Hers) graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Anthropology and received her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University. Aschlee has been a Student Success Advisor since 2010 and also serves as the Advisor to Alpha Lambda Delta first-year honor society.
