Student Work Offered at Holiday Exhibit, Sale Dec. 2 to 10


Original drawings, illustrations, paintings, and sculptures created by Lyme Academy College Bachelor of Fine Arts degree students will be available for purchase at a special exhibit Dec. 2-10.

The work, which is available as one-of-a-kind affordable holiday gifts, will be shown in the newly restored historic Sill House Galleries at the campus, 84 Lyme St.

Lyme’s Student Exhibition Committee has organized the show and the proceeds go directly to the individual artists. Cash only. Admission is free and open to the public Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The opening reception, free and open to the public, takes place Friday, Dec 2, from 5-8 p.m.

Many of the exhibiting students have participated in professional exhibitions and have been commissioned for paintings, children’s book contracts, and even art for rock bands.

Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts is a college of the University of New Haven.
