"It was my first time out of the country, and I loved being able to travel the world while still pursuing my education."
Kiana Quinonez ’19
A communication, film and media studies major, she said it was her time abroad that inspired her interest in combining her passion for the news and traveling to pursue a career as a news reporter or producer, touring the globe and creating documentaries about people and where they live.
"My time at the University has prepared me for success by giving me opportunities to network with professionals in my desired field and enabling me to gain practical learning experiences," said Quinonez, who is active in the University’s Communications Club and the Charger Bulletin student newspaper. "I have access to the programs and the materials that help me master the skills I will need in the future."
