About Shea
Shea Fowler is an entertainment executive, educator, and former child performer whose career spans singing, acting, artist development, music publishing, and technology. A North Texas native, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Industry Studies with a minor in Music Business from Belmont University in 2009. She also holds a Master of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Fowler began her career in front of the camera as a child model, appearing in national print campaigns for brands like Levi’s and JC Penney, and working in television, commercial, and film projects in Dallas and Los Angeles. She appeared on the beloved PBS children’s television series Wishbone and is also known for her role as “Grace” in the feature film Bottle Rocket, directed by ACADEMY AWARD® Winner Wes Anderson.
As a singer-songwriter, Fowler performed for more than two decades, including National Anthem performances at Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks, and for her professional hometown teams, the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars. Raised around rodeo, she grew up performing at Fort Worth’s Cowtown Coliseum and events such as Tuff Hedeman's Championship Bull Riding—experiences that shaped her early understanding of live entertainment and audience connection.
At 18, Fowler relocated to Nashville after signing a publishing deal on Music Row. Following more than 20 years as a performer, she transitioned to behind-the-scenes roles, after discovering a passion for developing and advocating for other creatives. Upon graduating from Belmont, she was promoted from intern to full-time in the A&R department at Big Machine Label Group, launching a multifaceted career spanning A&R, music publishing, artist management, and music technology.
Throughout her career, Fowler has worked with artists including Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett, and Reba McEntire, as well as Country Music Hall of Fame and GRAMMY®-winning songwriters such as Brett James and Caitlyn Smith. As an executive at a music tech startup, she developed innovative fan engagement campaigns for Imagine Dragons, Miranda Lambert, and Spotify, bridging strategy, storytelling, and emerging platforms.
Fowler also created and produced a short film, “All the Way to Tacoma”, that screened at the Nashville Film Festival, merging her background in film with her work in music.
She currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Belmont University, where she developed and teaches the Women in Entertainment course, and teaches Music Publishing each spring for the University of New Haven’s Nashville Study Away Program at Blackbird Studio.
Fowler resides in the town she just can’t seem to quit, Nashville, Tennessee, with her son, Wilder, and their two dogs, Scout and Neptune. When not working with artists or in the classroom, she enjoys traveling, reading, and treasure hunting at estate sales.
