Rachel Torello, Psy.D.

Rachel Torello has been a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member in the Psychology Department at the University of New Haven since 2011. She teaches a variety of courses at both the introductory and advanced levels, and coordinates a number of student-focused departmental activities and initiatives. She has engaged students in service learning courses and has taught at the Prato, Italy campus several times. In 2018, she was the recipient of the Faculty Excellence Award in Experiential Education. As a clinical psychologist, she also maintains a small private practice in New Haven.

Dr. Torello earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2009, and her B.A. in Psychology from Quinnipiac College in 1998.
