Get Information about the Academic Preparatory Program

The University of New Haven’s Academic Preparatory Program (APP) is the first and only such program in the New Haven area that uses a content and language learning approach to teach English as a second language.

In the Academic Preparatory Program, students gain knowledge and an understanding of a subject matter while simultaneously learning and using English. The APP helps provide all students – regardless of their major – with the necessary academic skills to understand and communicate effectively in English and to perform exceptionally well in classes in their major.
