'Live the Life' in Prato, Italy

The University of New Haven opened its first international satellite campus in Prato, Italy in the fall of 2012. The historic city of Prato offers University of New Haven students an authentic Italian cultural experience. Prato, the second largest city in the region, is just 20 minutes from Florence and one hour from Pisa by train.

While experiencing life abroad, students will have the opportunity to enroll in five classes taught by both University of New Haven and Italian faculty. All University of New Haven tuition and fees remain the same as if students were attending our main campus in West Haven, Connecticut - the only difference in price is the cost of airfare!

Applying to Study at the Tuscany Campus

Applications are accepted and approved on a rolling basis meaning that the sooner you turn complete and submit the application, the sooner you’ll be able to finalize your plans for your time abroad.

Tuition and Fees

You will be billed University of New Haven tuition, room, board, and fees, as if on campus. Your University of New Haven scholarships and aid will be virtually unchanged. Students will cover the cost of the Italian visa. Students will be billed the cost of airfare. In order to ensure that all students arrive in Milan as a group, we shall purchase group tickets.

You must pay all expenses associated with obtaining or renewing your passport, and shipping and preparing your visa materials. You must get to and from the departing US international airport at your own expense and by your own arrangement.

Since the university opened its satellite campus in Prato in Fall 2012, almost 200 of our students have traveled to Italy to study at the Tuscany Campus.
