Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts Announces Juried Student Exhibition

The Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts’ 39th Annual Juried Student Exhibition opens to the public on January 30.

January 19, 2015

The juried exhibition will include works from current Lyme Academy College students in the college’s B.F.A., Post Baccalaureate, and Certificate programs.  The show will open with a reception on Friday, Jan.30, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Stillman Gallery located on the College’s campus in Old Lyme and will run through March 28.

"This exhibition is a uniquely important educational and artistic event," said Todd Jokl, campus dean at Lyme Academy College. "Students have an opportunity to submit artwork to be selected for a juried exhibition. Additionally, the exhibition is always a banner event where the local arts community has a chance to view the incredible work these students are creating.  This is an important exhibition for students preparing for their professional careers and for the public to view the work of our talented student artists."

The 39th Annual Juried Student Exhibition will include work by students majoring in drawing, illustration, painting, and sculpture.  Art works will be for sale and the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

The exhibit is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
