Sculptor Karen Rossi is Next Presenter in ‘Inside My Studio: The Artist Revealed’ Lecture Series

The College’s Alumni Association hosts another engaging presentation in its lecture series, 'Inside My Studio: The Artist Revealed' on Friday, Nov.15, featuring artist/designer Karen Rossi.

November 12, 2013

Highly regarded for her original metal sculptures, Rossi also licenses and imports her whimsical characters of hobbies and professions known as Fanciful Flights™.

The evening begins with a reception at 6 p.m. before Rossi speaks at 7 p.m. Reservations are required at $10 per person and should be made by contacting Ann de Selding at 860.434.3571 ext. 117 or adeselding@lymeacademy.edu.

Rossi began her career – a sculptor working in metal – as a young woman inspired by her parents’ aerospace welding business. After college, Rossi studied metal art and jewelry-making and quickly began experimenting with steel, titanium, copper and brass. After years of attending trade shows and marketing her work, she now enjoys creating her one-of-a-kind sculptures and continues to license her designs to companies, which sell her brand worldwide.
