Caroline Vitale Koziatek, vice president for human resources, has been named the Distinguished Administrative Woman in Higher Education by the Connecticut ACE Women’s Network.

Koziatek,’92 MBA, was nominated for the award by UNH President Steven H. Kaplan. It was presented at ACE’s recent spring conference at Fairfield University.
"Although the membership committee received nominations of many very talented colleagues" said Wanda Warshauer, membership chair of the CT ACE Women’s Network, "we were impressed by her outstanding leadership of and advocacy for women in your institution, in her profession and in society at large."
Kaplan said that Koziatek has been an advocate for women, both at UNH and prior to UNH, when she mentored 13 women.
"She is an outstanding role model and mentor to UNH students, faculty and staff and she is deeply engaged in the development and support of women on campus and in the community." Kaplan said.

Koziatek, who also serves as UNH’s Title IX coordinator and diversity officer, is "a highly respected member of my administration throughout the campus, particularly as a passionate and invaluable advocate for women," Kaplan added.
Koziatek said she feels that mentoring is critically important. "I’ve been given a gift of a senior level position. It’s my responsibility to use that to develop others to achieve the same gift," she said. "My greatest achievements are the achievements of others whom I have impacted in any way."
