2011-2012, Michael Tosolini B.A, Independent Study: An independent study of software Burrow-Wheelers Aligner/Genome Analysis Tool Kit (BWA/GATK) pipeline with Variant Tools for optimization statistical analysis of GATK parameters. University of New Haven, Department of Biology and Environmental Science.

2012 - Present, Victoria L. Uhlhorn, Research Project: Perform Ussing Chamber experiments on mouse colon to manipulate the opening and closing of ion channels by use of drugs and Cholera toxin.  Damaged enterocytes swell and die due to inability to exchange ions freely leading to decreased surface area to absorb water and nutrients.  My goal is to develop a treatment that causes the Calcium Sensing Receptor channels to open to prevent swelling thus ischemic injury of the colon.  Adviser: John P. Geibel, DSc, MD, MSc, Yale University School of Medicine.
