| Living Learning Community Applications |

| Incoming freshmen – Are you looking for an opportunity to integrate your academic program and your living environment? The University of New Haven offers four Living Learning Communities (LLC’S) for freshmen who are majoring in Forensic Science, Engineering, Business, or Music Industry and Sound Recording. LLC’s are communities within our first year residence halls where students are housed together according to their major, and enjoy co-curricular experiences provided by faculty and staff that support the academic program. Students who are accepted into these communities will participate in an orientation weekend prior to the opening of the residence halls, as well as special events planned through the academic year. 5th Annual Holocaust Remembrance |

| National Day of Silence, April 25, 2008 |
|
| Students hand out speaking cards during the Day of Silence that read: "Please understand my reasons for not speaking today. I am participating in the Day of Silence, a national youth movement protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their allies in schools. My deliberate silence echoes that silence, which is caused by harassment, prejudice, and discrimination. I believe that ending the silence is the first step toward fighting these injustices. Think about the voices you are not hearing today. What are you going to do to end the silence?" |
