Helena Cole

Helena Cole

Director, Centers for Academic Success and Advising

Helena Cole graduated with an A.B. degree in History and Italian from Bryn Mawr College. She received her M.Ed in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland, and her M.A. in Humanities from Hood College. Helena started working at the University of New Haven as the Director of the Centers for Academic Success and Advising in January 2013.

Success Advisor

Lynn DeRobertis graduated with a B.S. degree in Nursing from Boston College and a M.S. in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University. Lynn has been an Student Success Advisor since 2000. Lynn supervises the Academic Peer Mentor program with Becca Kitchell, the Associate Director of Residential Life. She also serves as the Advisor to Lamda Alpha Upsilon.

Joe graduated with a B.A. degree in Psychology from Western New England College and earned a M.A. degree in Community Psychology from the University of New Haven in 2010. As a graduate student at the University of New Haven, he worked as a Learning Assistant in Campus Access Services and has been at the Center for Student Success since 2011. Joe is also an adjunct instructor in the Psychology Department.

Alice Guido

Persistence Advisor

Alice majored in English Comp and minored in Classics at Mount Holyoke; she has a Master’s in Film Study from Wesleyan. She began her relationship with the University of New Haven in 1989 as an English adjunct, added Writing Lab tutor in the CLR and Student Success Advisor for the Center for Student Success.

Jim graduated with a B.A. in History from Central Connecticut State University and received his M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Post University in Waterbury, CT. Jim joined University of New Haven’s Center for Student Success as a Success Advisor in 2017.

Alicia graduated from Central Connecticut State University with her B.A in Sociology and M.S. in Counselor Education. Before joining the University of New Haven, she has worked for a Bridge to College program for Naugatuck Valley Community College and in the mental health counseling field. Alicia now works with the College of Arts and Sciences, and College of Engineering in the Center for Student Success.
