Career Placement

A graduate of the University of New Haven Industrial and Systems Engineering degree program will be prepared for employment in a wide range of industries, consultancies, governmental agencies, and non-profits, including Sikorsky Aircraft, Boeing, Dell, Electric Boat, General Dynamics, General Electric, Hamilton Sunstrand, HB Maynard, Lockheed Martin, Merck and Company, Oxfam, Pfizer, Pratt and Whitney, Unilever, UPS, and IBM.

While many positions are offered by the industrial and pharmaceutical sectors listed above, others are offered by smaller companies, some known as "feeders" to the list above. The list of such companies is too long to include here but some representative companies in Connecticut are Barden Corp, Kendro Labs, Marlin Firearms, Northeastern Electric, Perkin-Elmer, Proton Energy, Schick Wilkinson-Sword, United Illuminating, and Covidien.

Although job titles vary by employer, job type, work experience, and academic background, the most prominent job titles are Business Engineer, Contract Engineer, Decision Support Analyst, Industrial Engineer, Lean and Six Sigma Specialist, Operations Analyst, Operations Engineer, Productivity/Performance Specialist, Productivity Engineer, Project Manager, Systems Analyst, and Systems Engineer.
