Cultural Clubs

  • BSU - The Black Student Union was founded at UNH in 1978. Comprised of various ethnic groups and races, the BSU welcomes all. bsu@newhaven.edu

  • CSA - The Caribbean Student Association is geared at implementing the need to celebrate Caribbean culture and heritage. Our goal is to educate fellow colleagues about the importance of the Caribbean. csa@newhaven.edu 

  • ISA - The International Student Association founded more than 20 years ago to give international students a voice in student government as well as an opportunity to add diversity to campus events and activities. isa@newhaven.edu

  • ACJA - The American Criminal Justice Association is professional organization that brings people together who are interested in different aspects of the criminal justice field. ACJA@newhaven.edu

  • AICHE- American Institute of Chemical Engineers aims to promote the professional development of its members and contribute to the development of chemical engineering at the University of New Haven. AICHE@newhaven.edu

  • ALD - Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society is a freshman honor society whose membership hinges on a 3.5 GPA. ald@newhaven.edu

  • ASID - American Society of Interior Designers is an organization supporting the transition from college to the professional field of interior design. ASID@newhaven.edu

  • Alpha Tau - We are an honor society of Criminal Justice students that includes undergraduate and graduate members.  AlphaTau@newhaven.edu

  • A-Team - We give tours to prospective students and their families, seven days a week on a volunteer basis.  We sponsor three open houses throughout the school year, and also take part in various Accepted Students Days in the spring semester. a-team@newhaven.edu

  • NSMH - National Society of Minorities in Hospitality is a premiere professional, 100 percent student-run organization that brings students and industry professionals together.  It promotes diversity, multi-cultural appreciation, and career development to students pursuing a future in the hospitality industry or service economy.   • AFC - Ambassadors for Christ is a branch of Campus Crusaders for Christ on a mission to spread God’s word to the world.   • WNHU 88.7 - is the University of New Haven's noncommercial, FCC-licensed FM radio station broadcasting from Maxcy Hall.  Daily operations are maintained by a departmental general manager, student station managers, and a staff comprised of undergraduate students, community volunteers, and faculty members. WNHU's signal emanates from the main campus at a frequency of 88.7 at a power of 1,700 watts and extends nearly thirty miles in every direction, reaching practically all of southern Connecticut Long Island. WNHU’s programming is also available as streaming audio online at www.wnhu.net.
