Admissions Administration

Jim McCoy
Vice President for Enrollment Management

Dr. McCoy joined the University of New Haven in 2009 as the Interim Vice President of Student Success prior to becoming Vice President of Enrollment Management in 2010. Under Jim's leadership, the university has made great strides in the area of retention. One of the newest facilities on campus is our First-Year Student Success Center, which has greatly prepared students for their careers.

Kevin Phillips
Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management

Kevin joined the UNH community in 2000 as an assistant director of admissions. Since then, he has drastically increased the number of applicants to the university and has expanded numerous campus visit opportunities including Enhanced Visits and Charger Days.

Rosemary deWarga
Administrative Assistant to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management

Rosemary joined the University of New Haven community in January 2001 as a secretary for the Executive MBA program. Since then, she worked as an interim administrative assistant for the former interim vice president for student affairs. Currently she works with Kevin Phillips and the staff of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Wayne Leon
Director of Recruitment and Marketing

Wayne joined the University of New Haven in fall 2011 as Director of Recruitment and Marketing after his position at Oglethorpe University as the associate director of advising and recruitment for the Evening Degree Program.

Alick Lètang
Director of Enrollment Planning and Policy

Alick joined the University of New Haven community in 1998; he is currently responsible for strategic planning initiatives, including regional programming, budgeting, prospective student outreach, and the implementation of alumni engagement.

Whitney Kolwicz
Director of Events / Senior Associate Director of Admissions

Terrence Greaves
Associate Director of Admissions / Coordinator of Interactive Online Outreach and Marketing

Terrence graduated from the University of New Haven in 2006 with degrees in criminal justice and forensic science, as well as a master's in national security administration. He coordinates all regional information sessions and programming. Additionally, he works with all of our online partners.

Our undergraduate admissions staff consists of a number of experienced counselors, directors, and coordinators whose primary responsibility is to help you through the admissions process! Ashley Abate
Admissions Counselor

Ashley graduated from the University of New Haven in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Before becoming an admissions counselor, Ashley worked as a case manager in a female gender-specific alternative to incarceration program.

Amanda Astle
Admissions Counselor

Amanda graduated from the University of New Haven in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in both criminal justice and psychology. Prior to working in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, she worked in a probate court in New Haven, CT.

Monique Bolt
Admissions Counselor / Coordinator of Campus Visitation

Before Monique came to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions she was a retail manager for Sodexho here at the University of New Haven.

Assistant Director of Admissions / Coordinator of Transfer Admissions

Nikki graduated from the University of New Haven in 2007, where she majored in criminal justice - investigative services and later received her master's degree in elementary education.

Katie Fainer
Admissions Counselor

Katie is a recent graduate of Seton Hall University, attaining a bachelor's degree in diplomacy and international relations. Before becoming an admissions counselor, Katie was a resident assistant and tour guide at Seton Hall.

Sarah Lipovsky
Admissions Counselor

Sarah graduated from the University of Hartford with a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in organizational psychology. While a student, she was involved on campus with both the Student Government Association and Emerging Leaders.

Corinne Merjave
Admissions Counselor

Before becoming an admissions counselor, Corinne worked as a resident assistant with the Office of Residential Life at the University of New Haven.

Jason Riendeau
Assistant Director of Admissons / Coordinator of Military and Veteran Student Recruitment

Since graduating from the University of New Haven with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice - investigative services and a master's degree in public administration, Jason began working in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in 2008.

Zack Rosen
Admissions Counselor / Coordinator of Social Media and Online Recruitment

In addition to his counseling, Zack coordinates all social media and online recruitment. He works on the quarterly admissions newsletter, the Charger Connection, and is liaison to the music department.

Tommy Sapienza
Assistant Director of Admissions & Enrollment Technology

Tommy works with data from online recruitment partners and also develops communications with prospective students with the admissions database. Additionally, he is the liaison for athletics.

Admissions Support Staff

In addition to our counseling staff, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions has a number of support staff who serve in various capacities to support students. These functions include coordinating campus visit opportunities, managing the processing of application materials, and the supervision of clerical and support staff.

Heather Brown
Admissions Representative

Heather Brown graduated from the University of New Haven in May 2010 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She works with prospective students and their families to make sure they take part in the best visitation option for them, while also planning the Charger Day program. Additionally, Heather helps to ensure that families receive all of the information necessary to make the application process as pain-free as possible!
