Meet the Admissions Staff

Jim McCoy
Vice President for Enrollment Management

Dr. McCoy joined the University of New Haven in 2009 as the interim vice president of student success prior to becoming vice president of enrollment management in 2010. Jim came to UNH with over 30 years of experience in higher education, having worked at Louisiana State University (LSU), Xavier University, Miami University, and Penn State. Under his leadership, the university has made great strides in the area of retention.

Kevin Phillips
Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management

Since Kevin joined the University of New Haven, applications to UNH have nearly tripled and selectivity has dramatically increased. In 2009, Kevin was named to the post of associate vice president for enrollment management. Under his leadership, the UNH staff has expanded campus visit opportunities to include more personalized and in-depth information.

Rosemary deWarga
Administrative Assistant to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management

Rosemary joined the University of New Haven community in January 2001 as a secretary for the Executive MBA program. Since then, she has worked as an interim administrative assistant for the former interim vice president for student affairs. Currently she works with Kevin Phillips and the staff of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Alick Lètang
Director of Enrollment Planning and Policy

Territory: New Haven County (CT), Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands

Alick joined the University of New Haven in 1998 after previous experience in admissions at Roger Williams University.

Whitney Kolwicz
Director of Events / Senior Associate Director of Admissions

Associate Director of Admissions / Coordinator of Interactive Online Outreach and Marketing

Terrence graduated from UNH in 2005 and currently works with our Transfer team, our online partners and supervises a portion of the undergraduate admissions counselors.

Admissions Counselor and Honors Program Liaison

Territory: Litchfield County (CT), Texas, New York counties of Sullivan, Orange, Putnam, Ulster, Dutchess, Albany, Saratoga, Rennsselaer, Montgomery, Fulton, Delaware, Greene, Schoharie, Otsego, Schenectady, and Washington.

Ashley graduated from the University of New Haven in 2007 and joined the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in 2011.

Monique Bolt
Admissions Counselor / Coordinator of Campus Visitation

Territory: Middlesex County (CT)

Before Monique came to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, she was a retail manager for Sodexho here at the University of New Haven. In addition to working with students from Middlesex County, Monique works with all students interested in our Enhanced Visit program and our Charger Day program.

Tommy works with data from online recruitment partners and also develops communications with prospective students with the admissions database. Additionally, he is the liaison for the athletics department.

Pauline Hill
Director of Operations

Pauline supervises the clerical and undergraduate student staff at the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Additionally, she manages all data entry for inquiries and applicants along with overseeing the daily mail to prospective students.

Nikia Bigard
Administrative Clerk III

Nikia joined the University of New Haven in 2010. She is responsible for processing incoming material for applicants whose last names begin A-F. Nikia also helps maintain the day-to-day operation of the clerical department.

Ligia Correia
Data Communications Specialist

Ligia is responsible for processing incoming material for freshmen applicants whose last name starts W-Z, as well as all transfer applicants. She processes all enrollment deposits and finalizes folders to be sent to the registrar’s office.

Tammy George
Administrative Clerk III

Tammy is responsible for processing incoming freshmen material for students whose last name starts O-V. She also assists in the day-to-day operation of the clerical department.

Kathy Kasmin
Administrative Clerk III

Kathy joined the University of New Haven in 2004 and is responsible for maintaining all application files.

Jonathan Lètang
Administrative Clerk III

Jonathan graduated from the University of New Haven in 2011 and soon after joined the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. He processes incoming freshmen material for students whose last name starts G-N.

Samantha Thorne
Administrative Clerk III

Samantha is currently pursuing a master's degree in criminal justice here at the University of New Haven! She joined the team in the summer of 2012 and is responsible for coordinating all telecommunications through the office, as well as registering students for information sessions and campus tours.

Karen Ludington
Associate Director of International Admissions

Karen has been with the University of New Haven for over 20 years. During this time, she has been responsible for all international student applicants.

Sandy Sugrue
Administrative Secretary to the Associate Director of International Admissions

Sandy works with application materials and reading for international students interested in attending the University of New Haven.
