Next Steps for Accepted International Students

In order to receive your I-20 if you are not currently attending school in the United States:

1. Complete and submit the Financial Statement for International Students Form (FSIS) accompanied by an original bank statement from your sponsor or a signed letter from your bank on official bank stationary indicating adequate funds. The bank statement must be in English, and dated within 6 months of your intended admission start date. To download the FSIS form, click here. Or, submit your official Financial Guarantee if you are being sponsored by a government agency.

2. Submit a clear copy of your passport information page showing your complete name, date of birth, country of birth and country of citizenship.

3. Click here to complete the Enrollment Commitment Form and pay your non-refundable enrollment commitment fee of $500 if you choose to live on campus or $300 if you will not be living on campus. Please indicate your correct address to which your I-20 should be mailed (please do not use a PO Box address).

If you are currently on an F-1 visa transferring from another educational institution in the United States:

1. Complete and submit the Financial Statement for International Students Form (FSIS) accompanied by an original bank statement from your sponsor or a signed letter from your bank on official bank stationary indicating adequate funds. The bank statement must be in English, and dated within 6 months of your intended admission start date. To download the FSIS form, click here. 2. Submit a clear copy of your passport information page showing your complete name, date of birth, country of birth and country of citizenship.

3. Have the attached I-20 transfer form completed and returned to IntUGAdm@newhaven.edu or faxed to 203-931-6053.
