For most programs, students can apply to any academic term. Classes are offered in three trimesters in the Fall, Winter, and Spring, with an abbreviated summer term. Please refer to the academic listing below for specific program admission requirements.
Please note that degree programs not listed below fall within the general admission guidelines for the Graduate School.
Specific Program Requirements
Some degree programs in the Graduate School have individual requirements for admission. The following programs have special criteria in addition to the general criteria for the Graduate School. Please consult individual program webpages for further information.
| MBA, Business Administration | |||||||||
| Admissions decisions are based on an applicant's undergraduate and/or graduate academic performance, professional experience, and letters of recommendation. Applicants are required to submit GMAT scores; however, this requirement is waived for applicants who hold an earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with an earned minimum GPA of 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale). Students who do not meet the minimum GPA requirement will be considered with a minimum GMAT score of 500. Applicants are required to submit a resume. | |||||||||
| MS, Criminal Justice | |||||||||
| Applications to the Criminal Justice program will only be accepted for the Fall trimester. | |||||||||
| MS, Education | |||||||||
| Applications to the Education program will only be accepted for the Fall or Winter trimesters. Students interested in consideration for the Fall trimester must submit all required materials by June 30th, prior to the term of entry; for the Winter trimester, October 15th. Candidates for the Education program must have a minimum GPA of 2.7 in order to be considered for admission. Students interested in either concentration must submit Praxis I scores or a Praxis I waiver and attend a mandatory interview. Education Department forms must also be completed prior to enrollment. | |||||||||

| MBA, Emerging Leaders | |||||||||
| Candidates for the MBA for Emerging Leaders must have a minimum of two (2) years of administrative, managerial, or professional work experience to be considered for the program. Admission decisions are based on a combination of undergraduate and/or graduate academic performance, professional and/or business experience, and the required letters of recommendation. | |||||||||
| MS, Engineering Management (MSEM) | |||||||||
| Candidates to the MSEM program must have five or more years' experience in a supervisory role in engineering, technical staff support, engineering or systems management, project management, systems engineering, manufacturing, logistics, industrial engineering, military operations, or quality assurance. Individuals with unique or extraordinary qualifications and a bona fide reason to enroll in the program are encouraged to apply and to present their cases for admission. Candidates must be suitably qualified for both the MSEM courses and the five required Executive MBA courses. Applicants not meeting the minimum requirements may be required to seek prerequisite education and/or meet certain academic conditions before enrollment in specific courses. | |||||||||
| Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) | |||||||||
| Candidates to the EMBA program should be middle- and upper-level professionals who have meaningful managerial responsibility. The GMAT is not required. | |||||||||
| MS, Forensic Science | |||||||||
| Admission to the Forensic Science program is only available for the Fall trimester. The deadline for applications is March 1st prior to the intended term of entry. | |||||||||
| |||||||||
| MS, Human Nutrition | |||||||||
| The Human Nutrition program is most appropriate for registered dietitians and certain other licensed health professionals or for high school science teachers and/or others with undergraduate majors in chemistry or the biological sciences. Students must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or equivalent, with an above average undergraduate record including successfully completed prerequisite coursework in introductory biochemistry or organic chemistry plus human anatomy and physiology. | |||||||||
| Industrial Engineering Dual Degree Program (MBA/MSIE) | |||||||||
Applicants to the MBA/MSIE program are expected to have engineering or technical degrees from programs accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), or demonstrated equivalent. Applicants are required to meet the admissions requirements for each of the relevant degree programs. | |||||||||
| MS, Management of Sports Industries | |||||||||

| Admission to the Taxation program is available to accountants, CPAs, attorneys, business people, and those holding an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
