In honor of Student Engagement and Philanthropy Month at the University of New Haven, we marked areas on campus that were made possible through donor support. In addition, students signed a "Once a Charger, Always a Charger" banner and wrote personalized thank you notes to donors at the Student Engagement and Philanthropy Month Ice Cream Social.
The University of New Haven relies on the philanthropic support of alumni and friends to help keep tuition costs down and provide funding for scholarships, experiential learning opportunities, research, classroom resources and campus facilities. “We are very excited about the chance for our students to show their appreciation for the opportunities that have been made possible by the generosity of alumni and friends of the University,” said Marya Neary, director of annual giving. “A simple, thank-you note from a student to a donor is one of the most meaningful ways the University can express its gratitude. Donors who give $25 or $2,500 are moved by student testimonials and by seeing that their support is truly making a difference.
