Fox CT April 27, 2013 “Expert Explains How To Investigate A Massive Crime Scene”

Peter Valentin participated in a discussion on how to investigate a large crime scene, such as the Boston bombing. Valentin noted that most of the components come from common stores and are relatively untraceable. Components of the bomb are so dangerous because they travel on a pressure wave until the hit something. Valentin explains that evidence is found in a larger area because the blast blew evidence up on roof tops and window sills. Police have over 100 hours of footage that investigators have to go thru which they can use to track the bomber. Valentin also states there is no way to commit this crime without giving information about who you are.
