New Canaan Advertiser (Apr. 12): “High School’s Engineering Team Takes First Place"
The New Canaan High School TSA/TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science, formerly known as JETS) teams recently competed in the national competition and fared well. The competition, hosted by UNH, pits teams from high schools all over the nation in a paper and pencil competition about a series of engineering problems centered around a particular theme. This year’s theme was “Engineering Tomorrow’s Cities,” and the students — as teams of eight — used their engineering skills to tackle challenges in areas such as transportation, green space and fresh water supply.
