About Gilynett

Gilynett is a Spanish-speaking Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) who graduated with her MSW from Fairfield University in 2021. She has previous experience working with immigrant families, children, and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. She is passionate about helping young adults navigate the difficulties brought on by major life transitions and empowering them to be the best version of themselves. Gilynett aims to tap into the strengths of students to assist them in coping with challenging times while providing unconditional support and a safe space to do so. Gilynett understands that students’ hardships are not a reflection of who they are and that everyone deserves the chance to build the life they want! Her therapeutic approach is Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative therapy. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
