My interests are in the area of clinical psychology. More precisely psychopathology,
substance abuse among adolescents, and the effects of trauma on children and adolescents.
I have provided investigative and treatment services to children and adolescent victims
of abuse as well as therapeutic services to those struggling with substance abuse
and/or mental illness.
Past research experiences have focused on children and adolescents who have been victims
of abuse and more recently on developing young athletes.
Professional experiences have helped develop my teaching style and I often utilize
those experiences to help students use their critical thinking skills and as a tool
to help develop my students’ understanding of the psychology field.
At the University of New Haven, I enjoy teaching undergraduate clinical psychology
classes and as Director of the Undergraduate Psychology Internship Program, I enjoy
assisting students with experiential learning.
In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, playing soccer, running, and the beach.
