University’s Connecticut Institute of Technology to Cohost State’s First Cybersecurity Career Fair

The University of New Haven has partnered with the Connecticut Career Consortium to cohost the inaugural Connecticut Regional Cybersecurity & Technology Virtual Career Expo, which will enable students from 17 universities across the state to meet with representatives from leading companies and organizations, creating opportunities for networking that could lead to internship and career opportunities.

University of New Haven Receives Grant to Launch the Connecticut Institute for Youth and Police Relations in Greater Hartford

A two-year, $400,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and the Travelers Championship to the University’s Center for Advanced Policing and its Tow Youth Justice Institute will enhance education and training delivered to police officers to assist them in balancing the demands of public safety and the best interests of youth and Black and diverse communities.

Important Statement from President Kaplan

In an email to the University community, President Steven Kaplan announced a number of new initiatives committed to enriching the University community, reinforcing the importance of an education that includes a critical examination of race and ethnicity, and ensuring the University is at the forefront of instilling in the next generation of leaders – particularly those who take an oath to serve and protect us – the ideals that unite communities, empower racial equality, and transcend division.
