About Jamie

Jamie holds an MPH from the University of Bridgeport and her B.S. in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and serves on the Board of Directors as the Co-Chair for the Connecticut Public Health Association’s Health Education Committee.

Prior to joining the Univeristy she worked for many years as a Health Educator in local health. She has implemented successful health promotion programs around diabetes prevention, maternal and child health, lead poisoning prevention, opioids, and played a crucial role on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jamie joined the University of New Haven in 2023 as an adjunct professor and research coordinator. As a Research Project Coordinator with the University, she contributes to a National Institute of Health-funded study focused on enhancing the quality of patient care in health systems, improving health outcomes, and addressing the needs of vulnerable populations. Jamie is passionate about the field of public health and inspiring the next generation of public health leaders.
