Charge In 2019 - New Students

Wednesday, August 21 - Sunday August 25

Be prepared to start your University of New Haven journey by learning everything you need to know about your first days on campus. That way when you arrive, you’ll be prepared to – CHARGE IN!

We hope that you are as excited as we are about the beginning of the Fall 2019 semester. Most of you will participate in SOAR this summer, which is part one of the two-part orientation program at the University of New Haven.

Part two of our orientation program is Charge In.

All students, resident or commuter, will come to campus during this time and participate. Charge In is mandatory for any new students (both first-year and transfer students, resident and commuter) from August 21-25.

Charge In Maps & Directions

To make for the smoothest Charge In possible, we’ve prepared maps and car signs that are specific to each residence hall. There’s also one for commuter students. Charge In is an exciting and active time on campus. We’ve made several changes in order for us to provide you with the best move in experience possible. Please be sure to watch the video, follow the instructions on your map, and print your car sign.

Students residing in Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) will move in on Wednesday, August 21. Students who are not residing in LLCs will move in on Thursday, August 22.

Commuter Students will come to campus on Thursday, August 22.

Parking placards are not required for commuter students.
