2022 Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

Call to Action: Renewing the Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.

As a University community, we commit to celebrating historical contributors and honoring trailblazers from the past. We commemorate social justice leaders who embody the shared values of diversity, equality, and equity. This year, we recognize global contributors with vision and intention. As we honor the sacrifices and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., we propose a call to action.

Right now, we are in the midst of a social revolution. Change-makers from all over the world are uniting in the name of intersectionality and systemic change. We have an opportunity to engage in community efforts that align with this generation’s civil rights movement and the values and ideals of the University of New Haven. Join us in honoring the legacy of MLK by committing to engage in social change with purpose and intention.
