Sports Management Grad Reflects on Role Helping to Secure 2030 FIFA World Cup in Home Country of Portugal
Our master’s degree in sport management is the most established such program in Connecticut and the oldest program in the United States continually housed in a business school. We have always focused on business and continue to lead the nation in cutting-edge business applications in sports. Boiled down to its essence, our degree is focused on cultivating and training industry leaders to work in the sports industry or an adjacent industry through hands-on experiential education.

Our partners at Yale University Athletic Department, Hartford Athletic, Pratt & Whitney Stadium seek students to support game day operations, event and venue management, recreational sport programs, marketing, corporate partnerships, and more. Students who are admitted to the MS Sport Management program will receive information about the open positions and application processes. Positions are not guaranteed, and students will interview for the open positions.
In addition to the work experience in the field, our students receive opportunities to participate in national competitions to showcase their skills and competencies to hiring managers. Every year, select students participate in National Collegiate Sport Sales Competition in ticket sales and partnership sales divisions and National Collegiate Sport Analytics Competition.
