Three Degree Options to Help You Succeed in Your Career Goals

The Dental Hygiene programs at the University of New Haven help students enter this his fast-growing and essential healthcare field.

Four-year B.S. Degree Program

Students may enroll in the four-year program from the start or defer this decision until they’ve completed the associate degree. The first three years of the bachelor’s program are identical to the associate program. However, you can earn a B.S. with just one more year of study, which will afford you a variety of employment opportunities. To maximize convenience, all of our degree completion program courses are offered online.

A.S. in Dental Hygiene

Our three-year A.S. in Dental Hygiene prepares you for all necessary board examinations and employment in a dental office.

Online Dental Hygiene Degree Bachelor’s Completion Program

Designed for practicing dental hygienists, the University will transfer credits from an accredited dental hygiene program. These transfer credits and any additional academic work, in combination with work experience, are used as the basis for building your coursework that will enable you to complete your B.S. degree.

Senior-Year Abroad in Tuscany

Study at the University of New Haven campus in one of the most beautiful, historical, and culturally rich areas of the world – Italy. As a senior dental hygiene student, spend two weeks in Summer I (Accelerated Term) in Prato, the second largest city in Tuscany and just 25 minutes from Florence. Students experience the culture, travel throughout the country, eat regional favorite foods, study Italian health care, and observe the delivery of dental hygiene services at private and public dental offices, all while earning six credits toward the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree.
