Ashish Kishore is a Practitioner in Residence in the Finance program. Kishore joined the Pompea College of Business faculty in 2020. He holds a BS in Economics and in Electrical Engineering, both from University of Pennsylvania and an MBA, in finance, from The Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
Mr. Kishore has spent more than 25 years involved in financial services with responsibilities ranging from credit and equity research to portfolio management. He started in consulting, at then Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, in technology research & systems consulting and moved into financial services after receiving his MBA. His financial services career began at CRT Capital, a boutique investment bank focusing on distressed debt and special situations. Mr. Kishore then worked for UBS Investment Bank as a proprietary trader on the Equities Desk focusing on Special Situations, and later as a senior analyst at Whippoorwill Associates, a distressed debt hedge fund. Mr. Kishore helped co-found, in 2008, Manikay Partners, a $1 billion+ AUM multi strategy hedge fund. He joined University of New Haven after closing the fund in 2020.
In addition to teaching, Prof. Kishore is also actively involved in several community service boards.
