Ideas into Law is the ultimate course in experiential learning.

It is part depth seminar and part field-based (state Capitol) research project. In the spring of 2014, students will tackle the state's educational achievement gap by gaining an understanding of the issue and its context, identifying potential solutions, using relevant information to generate policy solutions. This course will culminate in students presenting their policy recommendations to a variety of interested parties including state legislators.

This course benefits students by developing critical thinking and writing skills, honing public speaking skills, facilitating the development of professional networks, engaging students in shaping the future of Connecticut education, and by providing students with the job skills necessary for future employment and post-graduate education.
