What’s Up In the Air? Academy

Day Program Cost: $50 (generously sponsored by the National Science Foundation)
On Campus Accommodations Experience Cost: $600
Check-in for this experience will be the Sunday before the start date of the program

Do you ever think about what makes up the air that we breathe? Are you curious about the air quality in your neighborhood? Have you ever wondered how daily human activities drive climate change? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, please consider joining us for an immersive four-day summer academy. Applications are open to students entering grades 9th – 12th for the 2023-24 school year!

Participants will:

  • Learn about the sciences related to the atmosphere
  • Learn about the basics in air quality
  • Learn about the changes in our climate
  • Learn about the ways that we can improve the environment
  • Have the chance to try some fun experiments at home
  • Present your work to peers!

Requirements

Students must be entering grades 9th - 12th for the 2023-24 academic year. An application is needed for your admission to this academy.
