The Center for Learning Resources (CLR) provides academic content support to University of New Haven students by employing metacognitive strategies and by helping students to gain awareness of and learn how to apply optimal learning processes in the creative pursuit of becoming independent learners.
CLR tutors focus sessions on discussions and demonstrations of key concepts and processes, using external examples to assist students in grasping and applying material.
The CLR is a past recipient of the "Tutoring Program of Excellence Award" from the Association of Tutoring Professionals. The center provides a supportive environment where tutors listen to students’ needs and work to provide lessons geared toward individual learning styles.

The CLR is open every day except Saturdays and holidays during the academic year, during which time our hours are as follows:
Monday – Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Friday: 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: 3 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Tutors specializing in approximately 30 subjects are available for more than 60 hours a week.
