It’s hard to believe that we are almost halfway into the Fall semester. Best of luck to students on their mid-terms! We are providing this information as a resource to assist University of New Haven students and families as they navigate processes related to billing, financial aid, and registration. Important Information and Updates
Spring 2023 and Intersession Pre-Registration

The Spring 2023 course schedule is now available in myCharger in Self Service Banner (SSB).

Spring 2023 Pre-Registration Dates – All Beginning at 7 a.m.

  • Graduate and Doctoral students – Monday, October 31
  • Seniors (87 credits and above) – Monday, November 7
  • Special Populations – Tuesday, November 8
  • Juniors (57 to 86 credits) – Thursday, November 10
  • Sophomores (27 to 56 credits) – Tuesday, November 15
  • First Year (0 to 26 credits) – Thursday, November 17

Registration for Intersession 2023 will be open for all students the third week of October.

As a reminder, students who have a hold on their account will not be permitted to register for future semesters until their hold has been cleared. Students can check for holds in SSB (Self Service Banner) via the myCharger portal. In SSB, click on Student > Registration > Registration Status > Select Spring 2023 > Submit. Further information regarding pre-registration can be found here.

For your convenience, Registrar’s Office staff will be available in the One Stop Office in Bergami Hall beginning at 7 a.m. on all registration days to support students with their registration process.

2023-2024 FAFSA Now Available

The 2023 – 2024 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is now available online at www.studentaid.gov. The FAFSA is required of all students who will be enrolled in the Fall 2023 semester who wish to apply for financial aid (besides any awarded merit scholarships). This form must be completed annually.

Don’t forget to:

  • List the University of New Haven school code 001397 on the FAFSA.
  • Submit your FAFSA by our Priority Filing Date: January 1, 2023
  • Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to complete the income information sections on the FAFSA. The 2023-2024 FAFSA form requires 2021 tax information.
