March Madness Starts a Bit Early in West Haven
Come out and pack Charger Gymnasium on Friday, Feb. 24 to give our basketball teams the home court advantage they deserve as they tip off postseason play with a Northeast-10 Conference Championship doubleheader! Admission is free for students with your Charger Card ID.
The road to the NCAA tournament starts at 5 p.m. when the No. 5 seed women's team, led by Camryn DeBose (16 ppg, 41.2% from 3) and Aurora Deshaies (13.2 ppg, 10.7 rpg), take on No. 12 Franklin Pierce.
Then, stick around for the second half of the slate when Ty Perry (15.0 ppg), Majur Majak (11.4 rpg) and the 4th-seeded men's team face No. 13 American International.

Celebrate Spirit Friday With a Chance to Win a $100 Gift Card!

Spirit Friday will be held on Friday, Feb. 24, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., in Alumni Lounge, Bartels Hall.

Charger Math Parade Kicks Off Feb. 27
The Charger Math Parade is a weeklong celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community to celebrate math!
Featured activities include puzzles and challenges, a math art competition, scavenger bingo, Fibonacci poems, guess how many M&Ms, and more. Oh, prizes too!
The events begin on Monday, Feb. 27, and are being held all week long. Students are welcome to stop by the Math Zone all week.
The Charger Math Parade is sponsored by the University’s math and physics departments.

Celebration of Life for Sri Ram Kalidindi ’24 M.S.
University of New Haven students, faculty, and staff, are invited to celebrate the life of Sri Ram Kalidindi ’24 M.S. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 3:30 p.m. in Alumni Lounge, Bartels Hall.
Sri Ram died in the early morning hours of January 31 in his off-campus residence. A native of Vijayawada, India, he joined our community at the start of the spring semester to pursue a master’s degree in Business Analytics.

Earn Your Nursing Degree in Just 15 Months
Thinking about life after graduation? Interested in a career in nursing? Our School of Health Sciences invites you to attend an info session on Wednesday, March 1, at 3:45 p.m., in Maxcy Hall, Room 124.
Dr. Denise Puia will discuss how University of New Haven graduates can earn a nursing degree in just 15 months through the Accelerated Second Degree B.S. in Nursing program at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Conn.

Join us for the upcoming Alvine Lecture: One Path to a Successful Career Rooted in a Technical Foundation, being held on Thursday, March 2, from 3 - 4 p.m., in Buckman Hall, Room 120.
The lecture will feature Mike Ambrose '84, an alumnus of the University of New Haven and the vice chair of our Board of Governors who has spent nearly 40 years at Sikorsky Aircraft, a Lockheed Martin Company.

Save the Date: Empowering Women in Today’s Career Climate
March is Women's History Month, commemorating and celebrating the vital role of women in American history.
Join the Women’s Leadership Council and the Women in Business Club for a presentation with Cindi Bigelow ’12 Hon., the president and CEO of Bigelow Tea.
"A Conversation with Cindi Bigelow: Empowering Women in Today’s Career Climate" will be held on Monday, March 6, at 4:30 p.m., in Alumni Lounge, Bartels Hall.
Bigelow Tea is a third-generation business based in Fairfield, CT. The company is a market leader of specialty teas, producing more than two billion tea bags each year.
This presentation is also PEP credit approved.
