The University’s Tuscany Campus is located in the historic Palazzo Benini on Via Luigi Muzzi, one of the city’s most characteristic streets.
Palazzo Benini enjoys a fantastic position in the historic heart of the city center, just a few steps from the cathedral and all of the city’s monuments. In the historic center of Prato, students find everything they need for day-to-day life. The school and housing locations are no more than a 15-minute walk apart. The train station is a five-minute walk from the school. There are many shops and restaurants in the area as well – three of our dining options are located on the same street as the school.
With everything so easy to reach and access on foot, students immerse themselves into what this city has to offer, either working together or with locals to enrich their surroundings. For example, many of them participate in weekly conversation exchanges with local students, while others teach at local schools. Some go to a local training college to do cooking lessons with Italian students in exchange for language practice, while others are adopted by local families for home dinners and conversation. These students come out of these experiences not just with more knowledge and better language skills, but more importantly they grow in independence, maturity and self-confidence in their own abilities.
