The bagpipes played, UNH's ROTC color guard saluted, and Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Danao '04 M.S. of the Army National Guard called to order the ceremony commemorating U.S. veterans during the University's annual Veterans Day event November 11 on Maxcy Quad. Linda Olbrys '01 E.M.B.A. sang the national anthem, and a cannon sounded to memorialize all lost veterans. Jill Stone, the new director of the Veteran Student Services Office, and Captain Robert Henry, who is an associate professor of military science at UNH, spoke to the crowd.
