David Schroeder Presents "Solving Homicides in Connecticut"
The next brown-bag lunch program will take place at 12:15 p.m. November 18. The presenter, David Schroeder of the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences, will speak on "Solving Homicides in Connecticut." Sodexo has arranged for lunch pickup, which includes a sandwich, side and beverage at Jazzman’s Cafe, where a staff person will be on hand for checkout.

Professor Lauded by State Psychological Association
Criminal Justice Associate Professor James Monahan has been selected for the Connecticut Psychological Association (CPA) Award for Distinguished Psychological Contribution in the Public Interest. The award is given to members of the State of Connecticut Board of Examiners of Psychology who have dedicated years of distinguished service to the profession and the public. Monahan, a Madison, Conn., resident, serves as the co-director of the International Justice and Security Concentration of the Criminal Justice Program at UNH. He received his B.S. from the University of New Haven and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Florida State University. His work has been published in journals including "Journal of Offender Rehabilitation" and "The Journal of Social Psychology." He is a licensed psychologist for the state of Connecticut and a fellow in the American Academy of Clinical Psychology. His research interests include community policing, prison reform strategies and crime.

An Invite to Lunch,
Served and Priced Well
The faculty/staff dining room is now located in the Moulton Lounge on the third floor of Bartels Hall, the campus center, and is open for business from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays. For just $6, customers get soup, salad, an entrée, dessert, iced tea, and coffee, served with silverware on tablecloths. It’s dignified dining, right here on campus: good food shared with good company in a pleasant atmosphere for a great price. All faculty and staff are invited to partake!

Sign Up to Volunteer at the Thanksgiving Celebration
The Office of Residential Life, Sodexo Dining Services and the Office of Student Activities invite all UNH faculty and staff to participate in the Thanksgiving celebration taking place on November 18 at 4:30 p.m. in the Echlin Dining Hall in Bartels Hall, the campus center. This traditional Thanksgiving dinner is an enjoyable tradition for students, faculty and staff of the University. The event is not possible without the assistance of faculty and staff, so click here to read about the volunteer shifts. Evening Courtesy Van Discontinued
Due to minimal ridership after 7 p.m., the university has discontinued the courtesy van to the Dadds parking lot from 7 p.m. to midnight. This new schedule became effective November 2. Staff working later than 7 p.m. should take the earlier shuttle and move their car back to campus after 5:30 p.m.
