High Marks for Dental Hygiene
A near-perfect percentage of students in the Dental Hygiene Department passed the rigorous National Board Dental Hygiene Examination, with 37 out of 38 graduates of the 2008 Associate in Science degree program passing. All 38 students passed the clinical portion of the Northeast Regional Clinical Board Examination (NERB) on the first test date. To date, 95% of the graduates have successfully passed the computer-simulated portion of the NERB exam after the second test date. Please congratulate the students on their outstanding accomplishments. Please also congratulate the faculty of the Department of Dental Hygiene, who continue to graduate professionally trained students for careers in dental hygiene. Many of these students go on to careers as dentists as well. Click here to read the note from department head Sandra Palumbo to the University community.
