Whodunit this week?
Be the First to Take a Guess
The Whodunit contest is part of the Faculty/Staff Campaign, which has received more than 100 gifts totaling more than $20,000. Our goal is to surpass last year’s 130 gifts and $35,000. A gift of any size will is appreciated. Participation is as important as the dollar amount!
Last week’s Whodunit winner was Jason Philibotte, who guessed correctly that Murray Crugman did it! Murray has produced albums (remember those?) by Blue Oyster Cult, the Dictators, and numerous other bands.
Today’s Whodunit:
Rumor has it that this person has been known to ride the bus to UNH;
Has been published in the Journal of Contemporary Thought and Analecta Husserliana;
Has written an article on the father of film’s auteur theory, Andre Bazin;
Has studied in Chicago, Philadelphia and Skowhegan.
Send your guesses to sdavis@newhaven.edu. The first person with the right answer wins two movie passes!

Seniors and Freshmen: We want to hear from you!
Faculty: You too!
Is your educational experience engaging enough? As part of the UNH’s focus on continuous improvement and student-centered education, the University participates each year in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), aka “the Nessie.” All freshmen and seniors are being contacted now through e-mail by the NSSE organization in Indiana, on behalf of the University to solicit their participation. This year, we begin participation also in the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE), or “the Fussie.” These surveys will reach our faculty in the coming weeks. A high response rate is important, so seniors and freshmen, please fill out the brief survey and tell us how we’re doing! We use the data from these surveys to identify areas where further improvement is required, to highlight what we do well, and to track our improvements since earlier surveys. Faculty, be watching your inboxes—your turn is coming up.
