Wind Tunnel Demonstration Blows Away
Visiting High School Students

On Friday, Engineering Professor Koni Lambrakas demonstrated supersonic flow at Mach 3 speed, using what is likely the largest wind tunnel in the state of Connecticut, located right here at UNH. High school students stopped by to view the demonstration from the Academy of Information Technology in Stamford, the Southeastern Connecticut Science and Technology Magnet High School in New London, and Bristol Eastern High School. Channel 30 and the New Haven Register covered the event.

Dr. Henry Lee Takes the Case
Dr. Henry C. Lee and his colleagues will take on the task of solving some of history’s most difficult and complex cases at the annual Markle Symposium on Monday and Tuesday, March 24-25. Break the Creative Ceiling
Learn to break conventional creative confines. Earl McDonald and the Creative Opportunity Workshop will be on campus to help at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 2 in the Alumni Lounge of Bartels Hall, the campus center. Suggested donation is $5 and the event is open to the public. This event is sponsored by the UNH Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Advisement Workshop Set
The Excellence in Student Academic Advisement Workshop for faculty and staff will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 2-3 pm in Rooms A & B in Bartels Hall, the campus center. The workshop will be conducted in the form of a panel-led discussion. Panelists are UNH faculty and staff with significant expertise and extensive experience on the subject and include: James Cassidy, assoc. professor of Criminal Justice & Program Coordinator, M.S. in Criminal Justice; Kay Cuozzo, director, Office of Academic Services; Lynn Monahan, professor of Criminal Justice; and Joshua Sandman, professor of Political Science and 2007 winner of the UNH Award for Excellence in Student Advisement.
